How many times a week will I see a trainer?
It varies from person to person depending on how much attention you feel you need at any given time, but between one and three, with once a week being fairly typical. You will get a programme to follow and things to do on your own to compliment your training.

How fast can I expect to see results?
This will vary on a couple of things. How much effort you put in, your current situation and how well your body reacts and adapts to training will all impact on how quickly you see things happening. Everyone is different, but the more effort you put in, the faster you'll see results.

What would a typical session look like with you?
We will focus mainly on strength and hypertrophy (making muscles bigger and stronger), so typically a session will follow a certain format. Following a warm-up including some mobility drills to suit you and the workout you're about to do, you'll do some big, compound movements, like squats, bench press, deadlifts and rows followed by some smaller, isolation exercises, like bicep curls, leg extensions etc. Following this, you might do some conditioning, core work or more stretching and mobility, depending on your goals. For the most part though, the goal of each session is to train purposefully and progressively, not leave you in a sweaty mess and unable to walk for three days.

Will I need to cut out sugar/alcohol/red meat or any other type of food?
Not unless you want to or have been told you have a medical reason to. Depending on what you're training for, you'll probably need to make some adjustments to your diet, but these don't have to involve eliminating anything entirely.

Do I need a gym membership where the sessions are held?
No, but you're welcome to get one if you like it there. Ideally, having access to a gym so you can train outside of our sessions would help, but the programme you get given can easily be tailored to whatever fitness facility you use.
